Ben Goodman-Church
Born and raised in the vibrant city of Southampton, Ben discovered a deep passion for music in his mid-teens.
Drawing inspiration from the likes of Bill Evans, Oscar Peterson and Robert Glasper, he developed a style that blends traditional jazz elements with more modern soul and hip-hop themed improvisation.
Having established himself in the local jazz scene, Ben has become a respected figure, performing at renowned venues and festivals across Birmingham and the rest of the UK such as Birmingham Symphony Hall and ‘We Out Here’ festival and Brick Lane Jazz Festival. Whether leading a trio, acting as a sideman, or performing solo, his music exudes passion, creativity, and a deep love for the art of jazz piano.
As a prominent figure in Birmingham's jazz community, he continues to push boundaries, explore new horizons, and spread the joy of jazz music. With each note played, he pays homage to the rich tradition of jazz piano while carving out a unique and unforgettable musical legacy of his own.
